|Xfinity||$30.00-$50.00 per line||30 to 50 GB||Up to 10||Included||Must have Xfinity Internet|
|Optimum||$15.00-$55.00 per line||1 GB to unlimited||Up to 5||Included||Surcharge for non-Altice internet customers|
Spectrum Mobile™ coverage
Spectrum and Verizon share a 4G LTE network, and you’d think that would mean exactly the same coverage areas, but they aren’t duplicates.
Spectrum’s current 5G coverage is limited to bigger metro areas throughout California, as well as Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, the Maryland/DC beltway area, Philadelphia, New York, New Orleans and more.
Spectrum Mobile’s 4G LTE service is available in most of the country, with dead spots mainly in some Western states like Idaho, Nevada, Utah and New Mexico. Coastal sections of Washington and Oregon may also not have much coverage. Check out mobile coverage where you live on Spectrum’s mobile coverage map.
You are required to have Spectrum internet in order to have a mobile plan with them, so check first to make sure you are serviceable for that.
Our final take
If you need internet service and Spectrum is available in your area, it makes sense to take advantage of the Spectrum One deal to get a mobile line for free. You’ll have solid coverage across the country for the most part, as well as free access to 5G when it’s available and Spectrum’s half a million hot spots throughout the U.S.
Spectrum offers a variety of services including TV, internet and home and mobile phone plans, so you could have all your needs wrapped into one bill.
