Internet customers in New Jersey have added online protection with the state’s new data privacy law, which goes into effect on Jan. 15, 2025. The law requires data collectors to allow customers to confirm if personal information is being processed. It also allows the consumer to access the data, correct inaccuracies, delete it or obtain a copy.

Broadband growth is promising in New Jersey, as the state’s initial proposal on spending federal Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) funds was approved in September 2024.
