Spectrum TV® service shares availability with Spectrum Internet®, covering more than one-third of U.S. households across 41 states. It’s true “cable” TV, in that it uses coaxial cables to deliver service, as opposed to a satellite TV or fiber TV. Spectrum offers various cable plans that allow for a variety of add-ons to create a package that includes your favorite shows, premium channels and sports.

The Select Signature plan doesn’t offer Regional Sports Networks. However, you will have access to breaking news channels like CNN, CNBC, FOX News Channel and MSNBC.

You can also view live sports, including ESPN, ESPN2, FOX Sports 1 and CNBC Sports Network as well as family entertainment channels like Nickelodeon, Hallmark Channel and TV Land.

Spectrum TV also includes on-demand shows and mobile streaming, and Disney+ Basic and Max with Ads*** are now included with Spectrum TV Select plans. Spectrum also offers several tiers and premium options to add to your TV plan.

Spectrum TV equipment and fees

Various fees can increase your Spectrum bill — we’ve listed a few that you should keep in mind. 

Spectrum offers video customers the Xumo Stream Box* that enables them to access live TV, On Demand titles, movies, and top streaming apps all in one place. Xumo Stream Box is only $5/mo or included for the term of the bundle when combined with other services.

• Broadcast fee: A broadcast TV surcharge is included in the price of your TV plan, so if the price seems high, it’s because Spectrum added an otherwise separate charge to the total price of your plan
• HD TV box fee: $15.00/mo. per box. A box isn’t required if you have Spectrum Internet®
• DVR fee: $10.00/mo. for one device, included with an Internet Gig + TV bundle
• Xumo Stream Box: The Xumo Stream Box is included for the term of your bundle when you combine other Spectrum services, but otherwise is $5/mo.
• Installation: For both internet and TV, Spectrum charges a maximum of $30.00 for self-installation. In some areas, self-installation isn’t available, and you’ll be charged up to $65.00 for professional installation
• Price increase after promo period: After 12 – 36 months with Spectrum, your promo period will end and your Spectrum bill will increase up to its standard pricing

Stream Spectrum live and On-Demand with the Spectrum TV App

The Spectrum TV App takes your favorite shows, movies and sports from the TV to any screen. The app allows Spectrum subscribers to watch live TV and On-Demand, control DVR, alter settings like parental controls, choose from 85,000+ On-Demand titles and watch from any internet-connected device.

The Spectrum TV App works on Apple iOS, Android and Amazon Kindle devices, as well as Roku players, Xbox and Samsung Smart TVs that are 2012 edition or newer.

Spectrum TV customer satisfaction ratings

Spectrum ranked in line with most other cable TV providers for customer satisfaction in 2024, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI). They gave Spectrum TV an overall score of 66/100, one of the higher cable providers, and up one point from 2024.
