All altafiber internet plans feature free email accounts, no data caps, and the ability to stream on at least 15 devices. Users can choose to upgrade any altafiber internet plan to the premier version. These plans offer additional services, including internet security and a wireless gateway. 

Allconnect’s favorite altafiber plan: Advanced 1 Gbps

Our favorite plan of the former Cincinnati Bell company is altafiber’s Advanced plan. This plan has the fastest speeds: up to 1 Gbps for downloads and up to 250 Mbps for uploads. Combined with no data caps, the $69.99 price tag is well worth it if you work from home, have a gaming console, or use video streaming in multiple bedrooms. You can also order a Fully Loaded Bundle, which includes fiber optics internet with 1 Gbps speed, premium whole-home Wi-Fi and HBO Max.

Altafiber does not require contracts for internet service. However, users do have to pay for equipment rental and some fees may apply for service.

You don’t have to sign a contract for the Fioptics internet option with altafiber. The company lets you lock in your price for two to three years — depending on which plan you select – without signing a long-term commitment. There is no stated fee in the terms and conditions for canceling your service. You can check out other no-contract favorites to compare altafiber with similar providers. Prepaid options may also be right for people who want to pay as they go.

Customers pay $9.99/mo. to lease a wireless gateway (aka a modem). When you cancel your service, you are required to return the equipment or face a fee. Learn the difference between modems and routers for more information about what this equipment does for you.

Customers must return the equipment when they cancel service. Failure to turn in an undamaged modem results in a $100 fee, and failure to return the power cord will cost $20. You have five calendar days to turn in the equipment after you terminate your service. If you turn it in within 30 days, the fee will be credited back to you on your final bill.
