How to move your Xfinity service to your new home

When you move to a new home, you don’t necessarily have to cancel your Xfinity internet service. Instead, you can transfer it to your new address. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Sign in to your account, visit xfinity.com/moving and click Shop internet
  2. Enter the date you’re moving, your contact information and your new address
  3. Indicate whether you want to keep your plan as it is or make changes
  4. Choose between self-installation or professional installation
  5. Review your information and click Submit Order

If you’re moving, make sure to check that Xfinity is available in your new area before completing your online moving form.

How to return your Xfinity equipment

When it comes to returning your Xfinity equipment, you have several different options. First, you can simply visit an Xfinity store or Comcast service center and return your equipment there. It will be immediately removed from your account.

You can also initiate your return on the Xfinity website by signing in and visiting the “Equipment Return” page. The company will provide you with a return label, which you can print and attach to your equipment box. Once you have a return label attached to your box, you can either bring it to a UPS store or call (800) PICK-UPS to schedule an at-home pickup.

Does Xfinity charge a cancellation fee?

In some cases, you may be subject to an early termination fee of $10 for each month that’s remaining on your contract.

If you move to an area where Xfinity doesn’t serve or move to an area Xfinity does serve and choose not to transfer your service, you will be subject to early termination fees.

If you move to an area in Xfinity’s service area, you can transfer your service to your new address for no additional cost.
