If you want to cancel Frontier services, keep in mind they won’t let you go without trying to retain you. This means you need to talk to an agent… so they can try to change your mind. To that end, Frontier service cancellation must be done over the phone.

Are you eligible to cancel your Frontier service?

Yes, you can request Frontier service cancellation, even if you have a contract. Just be prepared to pay a termination fee. For most customers, a $9.99 cancellation fee will be applied to the final service bill. If you cancel your Frontier services within 30 days of signing up, you are exempt from the standard termination fee. 

Be advised that you will also pay early termination fees if you end a contract early. While Frontier does not specify what these fees are, they will be outlined for you in your original terms of service. Some promotions may reduce your early termination fees. 

Canceling your Frontier service online

Frontier does not allow you to cancel your Frontier cable, phone or internet service online. If you want to transfer service or make upgrade changes, you can reach out to the company’s chat service via the Frontier Service Changes page.

Canceling your Frontier service in person

Frontier has service in 25 states, but the company only operates retail stores in 16 states. If you want to cancel your service in person, you may have to travel quite a distance. Pausing Frontier service

Some customers qualify for a temporary hold, or suspension, of their Frontier services. If approved, you can pause instead of cancel Frontier internet for between one and nine months. This service is helpful for snowbirds or digital nomads who plan to be in a second home or traveling. You will pay a service fee during this time, but it will be reduced from your regular fees. Call (877) 591-2396 to find out if you qualify for a pause in your internet or other services.

How to return your Frontier equipment

When you contact Frontier to cancel service, the company will tell you which items you are required to return. You only have 30 days from the date of your service termination to return equipment – so act quickly to avoid additional fees. The process is simple:

1. Frontier will send you a prepaid mailing box with a return address sticker. The company uses UPS Ground for its returns.
2. Once you receive your boxes (usually within a week of requesting service cancellation), you just pack up your equipment and send it back in the box.
3. You can drop your equipment off at a UPS location or request a package pickup at home (in some communities).
