AT&T TV
AT&T TV combines the best of over-the-top (OTT) and traditional TV services for an all-new streaming experience. Customers can enjoy the value and versatility of OTT service, plus the picture quality, equipment and channel variety you’d expect from a cable or satellite TV service.
Why choose AT&T TV?
At Allconnect, we work to present quality information with editorial integrity. While this page may contain offers from our partners, our opinions are our own. Here’s how we make money.
There are more than a few good reasons to try AT&T TV. From the initial AT&T TV launch until now, we’ve kept a close watch on AT&T TV plans and promotions. Take a look at our list of AT&T TV pros and cons.
What we like
Channel lineup – AT&T TV’s channel lineup includes more popular channels than any other streaming service.
Easy self install – AT&T TV is plug and play. No cable box or appointments are needed.
1Recordings expire after 90 days. Restr’s apply.
Things to consider
Monthly price – AT&T TV is one of the pricier live TV streaming services in year two, especially when you add sports. And don’t forget about the $19.95 activation fee.
Two-year contract required – Be sure you’re ready to make a commitment if you want to get AT&T TV. Early termination fee (ETF) is $15/mo. for each month remaining on your contract.
Lacking in sports – You’ll only find regional sports networks (RSNs) in AT&T TV’s higher-priced plans. Plus, you’ll pay up to $8.49/mo. extra for a Regional Sports fee.
Expert tip: Try AT&T TV stress free with a 14-day money-back guarantee
On the fence about a two-year contract? AT&T TV now offers a money-back guarantee. If you don’t love your AT&T TV service, you can cancel and return your equipment for a full refund, and avoid paying an ETF or equipment fee. Must cancel within 14 days of purchase. Restrictions apply.

What do AT&T TV packages have that you can’t get with other live TV streaming services?
- With fuboTV you won’t find ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. You can find all of these channels, and more, in the AT&T TV CHOICE plan.
- Unlike Hulu + Live TV, AT&T TV has options to include MLB Network, NBA TV and NHL Network.
- YouTube TV won’t satisfy hockey fans without the NHL Network, but AT&T TV offers it.
On the other hand, AT&T TV does not currently offer PBS, NFL Network, ION, Music Choice, Pac-12 Network or ESPN College Extra.
What is the AT&T TV streaming device?
All you need to get started with AT&T TV is one streaming device, which is included for well-qualified customers (otherwise $120). If you want more devices for other TVs in your home, you can lease up to five additional AT&T TV devices for an added fee of $10/mo. for each.
AT&T TV’s streaming device is not like any streaming device you’ve seen before. It’s small, easy to install and you can even move it from TV to TV if you want, but it also gives you:
