AT&T TV NOW vs. AT&T TV
In 2020, AT&T rolled out another live TV streaming service called AT&T TV. While the channels you’ll get are pretty similar, AT&T TV has a lot more in common with a cable or satellite package. For one, you’ll have to commit to a two-year contract for AT&T TV, while you only pay one month at a time with AT&T TV NOW.
AT&T TV also includes a 4K streaming device at no extra charge. This box simply plugs into your TV’s HDMI port and connects to your internet through Wi-Fi — no professional installation needed. If you subscribe to AT&T TV NOW, on the other hand, you’ll need to use your own streaming device or smart TV.
AT&T TV NOW packages
AT&T TV NOW has two main packages to choose from. Both packages include local networks where available, ESPN and Disney, plus hours of on-demand content. These packages are ideal for cord cutters who want a slimmer package with the basics plus the option to add HBO® at a discounted price ($10/mo.).
Featured AT&T TV NOW packages
*Pricing per month plus taxes for length of contract. Additional fees and terms may apply. Pricing varies by location and availability. All prices subject to change at any time. May or may not be available based on service address. As of 12/11/20.
The main difference between AT&T TV NOW’s two main packages is the addition of HBO® and Cinemax and regional sports networks that come with the MAX package.
Both packages offer fairly impressive channel lineups, but are missing some of the main TV networks such as AMC, Discovery, HGTV and TLC. AT&T TV NOW does offer packages with these popular channels, but in larger, pricier tiers.
Additional AT&T TV NOW packages
These AT&T TV NOW packages do not include HBO®, but they do offer many channels you’d expect from basic or even higher-tiered standard TV packages. These packages are ideal for those who want a streaming experience with channel lineups similar to what traditional cable and satellite TV services offer.
