My main objection was having to wait 3 weeks for a service appointment meaning I had to pay an IT specialist to help me.

We had our internet with Sparklight installed in November so we have only had it a couple of months. Our installer was amazing. He explained everything and he was very professional. We have had no problems with the system so at this time we are very happy with Sparklight.

We are at the edge of town, so every prover can only give us the slowest plan. 300mbps on cable modem. Very lame. It freezes up videos and games constantly. It also loses signal completely several times per day. The router can do upto 3gbps, but the service is bad. Cox said they could only provide the same level of signal as Sparklight, for a higher price. So until they actually upgrade the neighborhood to fiber, we are stuck on slow speed with either provider.
