Optimum is a cable and fiber internet provider. Optimum has lower customer satisfaction scores than most of the top ISPs in our survey, but it offers high-speed fiber plans up to 5,000 Mbps and cable plans up to 1,000. Optimum is also one of the more affordable providers, with its cable and fiber plans starting at $40/mo.

Optimum was easy to schedule for hookup. Technician was on time and knowledgeable. He took his time to ensure the modem was placed where we wanted it. Optimum noticed a service issue before we did and the Service tech was polite, informative and went above to ensure our service was not interrupted long and would last for the long haul. We are very satisifed.

When using Zoom there will be at least two occasions of freeze up during a one hour meeting. Some pixelation when watching streaming service.

I was without service for 5 months and continued to pay my bill on time every month as they tried to fix the issue. The issue was never resolved. I requested for my money to be returned to me since I did not receive the services that I paid for during that timeframe. Not only did I never receive a refund, but they will not even return a call once it has been escalated. This company should be shut down…

Optimum price does not match what Allconnect stated at purchase.

They mistakenly disconnected my landline then had to get Verizon to reconnect. I then transferred back to Optimum (which they added charges). I was on the phone 2 1/2 hours trying to get bill help getting issue resolved. They kept trying to sell me something else! I have been a 38 year customer (which I’ll be switching). Every month there are NEW fees. People…

I was on the phone 2 1/2 hours trying to get bill help getting issue resolved. They kept trying to sell me something else! I have been a 38 year customer (which I’ll be switching). Every month there are NEW fees. People on fixed incomes can’t tolerate this. I also will be contacting FCC to file complaint! Find another provider!

I live in a seasonal college town, and every summer, Optimum throttles down the bandwidth for cheaper operating costs. I live in a seasonal college town, and every summer, Optimum throttles down the bandwidth for cheaper operating costs. Then in the fall when the kids come back, the network is overloaded from the high traffic, and for a week or two, I will have very slow speeds and intermittent interruptions, until Optimum finally catches up with the usage. All this while I pay full price for the 1 gig plan. They seem to have a monopoly in places, but avoid if you can.
