I am elderly and don’t use my computer a lot. They had me hooked up at the highest, fastest rate. I called to have it decreased. After a month they put it back to the highest without telling me. Not right.

For the price it is adequate internet for streaming videos, live tv, radioli & weather using a.Firirestick. I also ordered a xumo box to get additional channels but have not found it comparable to United Fiber TV. I would have additional cost to add a similar service. A phone line is also extra cost. For the price it is adequate internet for streaming videos, live tv, radioli & weather using a.Firirestick. I also ordered a xumo box to get additional channels but have not found it comparable to United Fiber TV. I would have additional cost to add a similar service. A phone line is also extra cost. The service was down after storms for at least 10 hours. A recorded message said they were working on the outage but didn’t specify a reason for loss of internet or adjustment to billing. Customer service is minimal by phone & could be more helpful

d/l speeds are terribly inconsistent. I have complained for months, paying for 300mbs and getting 9 to 50 sometimes, never above that. After many service calls the problem is with “Maintenance” that they cant schedule and just forward info to. Maintenance doesnt respond. DO NOT USE mediacom in Ridgecrest, sons have RACE which is fiber based and great. I pay 120$/mo for…

I had trouble with my service from February through April. One Customer service agent told me I would get a credit of $189.00 however I received a mere $14 and some odd cents.

Overall I don’t have a problem with mediacom in terms of service. However, their packaging is awful, forcing people to pay for house phone they don’t need and tiers of internet as well. We were forced to pay $288 per month for basic TV, 300 MB internet and phone (which we don’t want). There aren’t any alternatives where I live so I’m now paying $118 per month for 1GB internet (which I didn’t need but there are no choices) and a phone (which I don’t need). And then I dish out for u-tube TV. I cannot wait until another alternative becomes available. I almost feel sorry for the folks that work for the company, because, for the most part, customer service is good.

Mediacom internet is absolutely terrible. I work from home and have learned that I need to have my phone hot spot ready to go all the time for when our internet drops completely.
