What do Hughesnet customers think?
Hughesnet is a satellite internet service provider. Hughesnet scored low across the board regarding price, speed, reliability and customer service – but it’s important to note that satellite providers will provide less speed than fiber and cable providers and usually have high prices. Satellite internet providers like Hughesnet are often the only internet option for those living in rural areas with limited internet access. Hughesnet customers scored the ISP the highest in customer service, followed by reliability.

Streaming is good as long as there is no traffic. Stream anything quickly and reliably in the middle of a work day. After dinner time or on weekends, even with a clear sky, it is almost impossible to watch anything on a streaming service. This has more to do with the number of customers. I will not renew my contract. I’d rather go without internet than this experience.

Hughesnet got our satellite Internet installed within a week of calling to schedule it. The technician was professional, and communicated effectively to let us know his schedule and didn’t keep us waiting around. He was also able to mount the satellite on a pole vs on the roof for an extra fee, as we requested not to have it roof mounted. The internet and Wi-Fi both work well so far.

HUGHSNET IS THE WORST. THEY KEEP DROPING THE CONNECTION OF SHOWS WE ARE WATCHING, A LOT OF NO INTERNET CONNECTION. VERY POOR. WISH WE HAD CABLE.

Internet speed is complete garbage. Multiple speed tests run do not even come close to what is advertised. If you’re reading this, spend the extra few dollars and go with Starlink. I’m going to pay the cancellation fee to get out of Hughesnet and go with a service that actually works.

Internet is too expensive…data goes fast and you have to purchase more which means more money to pay…should be unlimited data…only 2 plans to chose from

We’re new to Hughesnet, almost 2 months of the worst internet we’ve ever had! They slow down the data service so you are forced to buy their tokens to get your Internet back. I’ve purchased tokens twice and they are not adding to my account, so I still can’t watch my TV! It has been a horrible experience so far with Hughes!…

The technician Brain that did the install was good, we just couldn’t get wifi to power other stuff like connecting to Direct TV, very dissatisfied, not Brian’s fault its your equipment, I shouldn’t pay a penalty if I want to cancel if your equipment doesn’t work properly, we’ll be in touch.

I am very satisfied with Hughesnet Service. I switched to this about 5 weeks ago. I have lost service twice and both times it was snowing and extremely cold and windy. Service was off for about 2 hours. I am saving almost 200.00 per month by switching. I am still figuring out the channels and how to get there. I am having fun seeing…

Some what expensive for such necesity

This is the first time we are using a satellite provider. So far HughesNet has been great to work with, and we are very pleased.
