I am elderly and don’t use my computer a lot. They had me hooked up at the highest, fastest rate. I called to have it decreased. After a month they put it back to the highest without telling me. Not right.

Overall I don’t have a problem with mediacom in terms of service. However, their packaging is awful, forcing people to pay for house phone they don’t need and tiers of internet as well. We were forced to pay $288 per month for basic TV, 300 MB internet and phone (which we don’t want). There aren’t any alternatives where I live so…
Overall I don’t have a problem with mediacom in terms of service. However, their packaging is awful, forcing people to pay for house phone they don’t need and tiers of internet as well. We were forced to pay $288 per month for basic TV, 300 MB internet and phone (which we don’t want). There aren’t any alternatives where I live so I’m now paying $118 per month for 1GB internet (which I didn’t need but there are no choices) and a phone (which I don’t need). And then I dish out for u-tube TV. I cannot wait until another alternative becomes available. I almost feel sorry for the folks that work for the company, because, for the most part, customer service is good.

Mediacom internet is absolutely terrible. I work from home and have learned that I need to have my phone hot spot ready to go all the time for when our internet drops completely.
