Optimum is a cable and fiber internet provider. Optimum has lower customer satisfaction scores than most of the top ISPs in our survey, but it offers high-speed fiber plans up to 5,000 Mbps and cable plans up to 1,000. Optimum is also one of the more affordable providers, with its cable and fiber plans starting at $40/mo.

Optimum was easy to schedule for hookup. Technician was on time and knowledgeable. He took his time to ensure the modem was placed where we wanted it. Optimum noticed a service issue before we did and the Service tech was polite, informative and went above to ensure our service was not interrupted long and would last for the long haul. We are very satisifed.

When using Zoom there will be at least two occasions of freeze up during a one hour meeting. Some pixelation when watching streaming service.

Once I moved from one apartment to another there been multiple recurring problems. Service has been sent multiple times and still have problems. I moved from 2 TVs to 1 Tv and the service still thinks there is 2.

Most internet companies charge about the same fee per month. Depending on where you live, your choices of internet providers are limited. Companies know that.

Special price for a year than they will charge for their modem. But that’s when I switch to my own modem. I’m not going to pay rent for their modem.

Reaching a human is impossible. There are long wait times and each option has a wait time. The DVR box works worse than our old one. Is is difficult to use and holds very few recordings. Moving forward is like molasses in winter. We are not satisfied.

I’m not sure why Optimum is not installing fiber optic instead of coaxial cable lines in brand new neighborhoods in Sun City, Georgetown,Texas.

Very slow, constantly lagging. Also very expensive for the service provided.
