Metronet internet is mostly available in the Midwest, across 17 states: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin. Among Metronet’s top cities are Aurora, Illinois; Bloomington, Indiana; Davenport, Iowa; Dayton, Ohio; Carmel, Indiana; Huntington, Indiana; Lansing, Michigan; Lexington, Kentucky; Rochester, Minnesota; and Tallahassee, Florida.

Metronet deals and promotions

  • All fiber internet plans offer 24/7 support and free equipment for the 2 gig plan and under. The company is currently offering free installation on all plans, based on a one-time $50 credit, and requires signing up for autopay for an additional $25 one-time credit. Metronet Wi-Fi fees and installation

Metronet customers can save money over other ISPs because there is no monthly equipment fee or contracts.

However, you may be subject to a price increase when the introductory period ends after the first 12 months. All plans have a $9.95/mo. technology fee.

Some promotions offer free installation, but there is generally a $75.00 fee. If you sign up for autopay, you’ll also get a $25.00 bill credit at the time of installation.

How installation works:

  • Metronet schedules installations within 10 days or less from the time you order service
  • The technician will perform a pre-installation one or two days before your scheduled installation date
  • The “technician will attach a fiber drop and put a small box called an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) either inside or outside of your business. If your power is underground, we will place a temporary drop on the ground and it will be buried within 14 days, weather permitting”

Metronet TV and bundling options

New customers can save money by bundling TV and internet plans.

In addition to Metronet internet services, you can bundle TV and phone services in your Metronet package.

Metronet has a 100% Fiber Phone 1000 plan for $20.00/mo.* when added to a fiber internet package. Metronet TV is available through three packages, from $20.00/mo. to $90.00/mo.**

Beyond Metronet TV offerings, customers can cut the cord and select other streaming options. These include Netflix, Hulu, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV and more.
