Key takeaways
- You can bundle your internet and TV services starting at $45.00/mo.
- Xfinity, Cox, AT&T, Spectrum, Optimum and Mediacom offer some of the best TV and internet bundling experiences with up to $20.00/mo. off your monthly bill
- Choose from cable, satellite and streaming options for your TV service
Our methodology
We evaluate broadband providers in four categories: affordability, performance, value and customer satisfaction. Each category contains multiple sub-factors, all of which are weighted differently to impact the provider’s overall score.
For each sub-factor, we score all providers on a continuous scale of one to five, relative to the industry as a whole. Because the average download speed in America is currently 290 Mbps, for example, we assigned all plans with download speeds between 100 and 299 Mbps a score between three and four. Xfinity’s 200 Mbps plan received a 3.50 score for download speed, while Spectrum’s 500 Mbps plan got a 3.71.
We only considered standardized data points in our scoring system. More abstract data like consistency of service and brand reputation is still part of our analysis, but we opted to let our writers address them in the context of each review.
Should you consider bundling TV and internet?
If you like the convenience of one monthly bill including your internet and TV services, bundling is a great option. Not all providers that offer TV and internet packages will save you money by combining them, but it’s always smart to check that option as even a few dollars every month will add up to some savings.
The choice of packaging your TV and internet services is down to what you want in each service and if you can get it with a preset bundle.
Pros for bundling
-
One monthly bill
-
Same company tech support for TV and internet
-
Possibility for a discount
Cons of bundling
-
Not always an opportunity to save money
-
Term agreements may exist for some bundle options

Satellite TV and internet bundles
In some areas, the best internet provider may not offer TV service, or vice versa. On the other hand, you may prefer the TV service of a provider that doesn’t have internet, such as satellite TV providers DIRECTV and DISH. In either case, there are still TV and internet bundles available, though you may not be able to save by bundling.

Streaming and internet packages

You likely won’t get the same savings and special offers with traditional cable and internet bundles, but packaging your services together provides the convenience of one bill, with one company.

Internet and TV bundle FAQs
Can I sign up for phone, TV and internet bundles?
Yes. With certain providers, you can bundle wireless phone plans with internet or TV packages. Traditional bundles include home phone instead of wireless; however, it may be possible if the provider offers wireless service to do a double or triple bundle with cellphone service. In some cases, you may even be able to do a quad bundle with internet, TV, home phone and wireless phone service.
Can I bundle cable and internet without a contract?
Cox, Frontier, Spectrum, AT&T internet, DIRECTV and Xfinity all offer no-contract options. However, if you choose a package without a term agreement, you may pay a higher monthly rate or you may not qualify for additional bundle features.
Can I save money by bundling TV and internet?
Not always. TV bundle discounts don’t necessarily apply to all companies because their TV packages are only available as part of a bundle. Since there is no standalone TV pricing to compare the bundled pricing to, there are no identifiable TV bundle savings.
Are cable bundles better than satellite bundles?
Satellite TV providers usually have more channels to offer you, and at a lower price than cable TV. If you’re looking for a no-contract plan, cable might be a better option.
