No local office: the building is there, but staff are non-existent. We have had two outages in the past 24 days. The first one lasted two days. We are not happy with this company, but no other reasonable options exist.

After the high speed was used up, the picture isn’t good.

I have had more than half a dozen appointments over two weeks, but they have not kept one so far. It’s so frustrating when they just change the date and time of appointments at will. It isn’t an appointment if it cannot be kept. Very disappointing service.

Minnesota internet assistance

If you’re searching for a low-cost internet plan in Minnesota, eligible customers can access affordable options through Lifeline and individual provider programs. Eligibility generally depends on your income and participation in a government assistance program.

Lifeline: Lifeline is a federal program that provides $9.25/mo. toward internet, cellphone or bundled services.

Individual provider programs: Some providers in Minnesota offer low-cost programs for eligible customers, including Xfinity’s Internet Essentials program, Access from AT&T, Verizon Forward and Spectrum Internet Assist

The future of internet in Minnesota

Minnesota is set to receive a massive chunk of funding — $652 million — from the BEAD program. The funding will be allocated to subgrantees selected by the state, and the first round of broadband infrastructure projects will focus on fiber providers, with a second round focusing on other technologies. It may be some time before Minnesotans can notice the impact of this historic funding, but the state is well on its way to connecting almost 90,000 homes and businesses with high-speed internet service.
