Vidgo is one of the newest live TV streaming services on the block. An app that aims to be a cheaper replacement to cable, it comes with no lengthy contract or extortionate fees. And unlike other services, it’s entirely focused on live TV. That means there’s no on-demand content or DVR capabilities. But there are a few packages to choose from. Keep reading to find out everything about Vidgo plans and pricing. And head here for a full Vidgo review.

Vidgo pricing

Some streaming services have a long list of packages, but Vidgo has decided to keep things simple. It offers four plans to subscribers, and they’re split into English-language and Spanish-language options. For each language, you’ll find a Core package and a Plus plan. As the name suggests, the Core package is Vidgo’s basic channel list. And the Plus option is the one to choose if you want a broader range of channels, including extra sports.

There isn’t much difference in price between the English Core and Plus plans. The Core costs $45/mo., while the Plus will set you back $55/mo. Right now, though, Vidgo is offering $5/mo. off each plan to new subscribers for the first 90 days — you’ll be able to enjoy Core’s 60+ networks for just $40/mo. and Plus’ 80+ channels for $50/mo.

It’s a similar situation with the platform’s Latino packages. The standard Latino plan is $20/mo. for a much smaller number of Vidgo TV channels (13 in total), while the Latino Mas package costs $30/mo. for 28 networks. Again, with Vidgo’s current discount, you can save $5/mo., making the new Latino price $15/mo. and Latino Mas $25/mo. You get almost the same value when jumping from the English Core to English Plus plan than going from Latino to Latino Mas. Latino Mas gives 15 more channels for an extra $10/mo. whereas English Plus gives you 13 additional networks for the same monthly price increase.

What content do Vidgo packages include?

Vidgo is renowned for its commitment to family TV. Its starting English plan features 68 channels, including every Disney-owned network. You’ll also find the likes of Nickelodeon in the Core plan. Entertainment-wise, expect channels like Lifetime and National Geographic. And when it comes to sports, you’ll find everything ESPN and FOX have to offer along with Big Ten Network and NFL Network. Plus, La Liga and Premier League soccer games are all yours, thanks to the inclusion of beIN Sports.

English Plus, meanwhile, gives you 81 networks in total. The extra names mainly focus on sports and entertainment. Comedy Central and Discovery Family are all on the upgraded list along with MTV Classic, so you can watch the latest South Park rerun and new The Daily Show episodes. Sports fans (particularly football-lovers) will be able to access NFL RedZone and extra PAC-12 networks, like PAC-12 Bay Area and PAC-12 Los Angeles.

The standard Latino plan really does have something for everyone. beIN SPORTS en Español sits alongside ESPN Deportes and TyC Sports for those who need an international sports fix. If you’re into movies or documentaries, you’ll have plenty to watch from Cine Sony, Discovery en Español and Nat Geo Mundo. So what extra goodies do you get with Latino Mas? Well, there’s much more in the way of Vidgo news and entertainment. Stay up-to-date with headlines with Antena 3 and NTN24, enjoy celebrity gossip from ¡HOLA! TV and catch telenovelas on Pasiones.

Some local channels from ABC and FOX are available with both Vidgo’s English-language plans. The likes of Chicago, New York and San Francisco are currently covered, but Vidgo has promised to expand its local airings if you don’t live in one of the specified areas. Unfortunately, you won’t get CBS or NBC with any Vidgo package, meaning you may miss some important NFL or NHL events. And there’s no way to watch regional sports networks either.

What are the add-on packages with Vidgo?

What you see is what you get with Vidgo. The service doesn’t offer any add-ons or premium upgrades. The only option you have is to sign up for both an English and Latino plan (although you’ll need to create two separate accounts to do so). Even then, you won’t get a discount and will still have to pay the full price.

Which Vidgo package is right for me?

Vidgo may not come with all the extra features used by competitor services, but its monthly pricing and simple selection process give it that all-important competitive edge. The package you pick depends on whether you want to stick to Vidgo English channels or whether you’re looking for more international coverage. If English TV is the one for you, you may find that the Core plan has everything you need. With almost 70 channels, you’ll be able to stay on top of breaking news, comedy shows, documentaries and games. But if you can’t live without NFL RedZone or simply want the best of the best, opt for Vidgo’s English Plus package.

Of course, it’s the same scenario with the Latino plans. Stick to the standard package if you want a cheaper, more basic streaming experience. But avid sports fans should, once again, choose the more expensive Latino Mas option for access to more tournaments, competitions and standalone games.

Still can’t make up your mind? Don’t worry, for Vidgo allows all new subscribers to try the service for free for three days. That’s enough time to see whether your chosen plan offers everything you’ve been searching for or whether you’d be willing to spend an extra $10/mo. for a premium streaming setup.
