In an effort to fight the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the MLB has delayed the start of the 2020 regular season. We’ll continue to update this page as more information is announced.
As part of the American League, the Kansas City Royals organization has a history of feast or famine. From the mid-1970s to 1985, the Royals won six Western Division titles, two American League Pennants and the World Series. But the team then suffered a losing streak that lasted 28 seasons until the team qualified for the 2014 Playoffs thanks to a Wild Card berth.
From there, the Royals advanced to the World Series, losing to the San Francisco Giants in seven games. But in the following 2015 season, the Royals won the American League pennant and defeated the New York Mets in the World Series.
