FuboTV free trials
How does it work?
The free trial process of all streaming services is pretty simple. First, you’ll have to give over some personal information, including payment details, in some cases. Then you can access all of the service’s channels and features for a limited amount of time.
FuboTV works just like that. Pick the fuboTV plan you want to try and sign up via the site or a Roku device, entering your payment information while you’re at it. A $1 authorization charge may appear on your card statement, but don’t panic. It’s just a validation measure that will be refunded back to you within seven to 10 business days. Once you’ve signed up, you can try your chosen plan for seven days, including access to more than 100 networks, 4K broadcasts and DVR storage. (Every plan is available to try, except for the Ultra package.)
The day before your trial ends, you’ll receive a reminder email. Cancel before the seven days are up, and you won’t be charged. But, when you hit Cancel Subscription, you’ll immediately be locked out of fuboTV, so you might as well wait until the very last day. However, if you like the look of the service, just leave everything as it is to automatically start your monthly subscription.
Who is eligible?
Brand new customers who are 18 and over can sign up for a fubo free trial. If you’ve had a fuboTV subscription in the past, you won’t be able to try the service again. Instead, you’ll be charged immediately after signing up.
Price after free trial
FuboTV’s free trial length is similar to other live TV services — it lasts for just seven days. Monthly subscription prices differ according to the plan you sign up for.
The Standard package comes with 110 channels and costs $54.99/mo. The Family plan gives you the same channel list, plus 500 hours of DVR storage and three simultaneous streams, for $59.99/mo. You can also add Showtime to the Family plan for a total of $69.99/mo. And fuboTV’s Spanish-language package costs just $29.99/mo, but only features 30 networks.
Although you can’t try the most expensive plan — fubo Ultra — you can change your plan after your free trial to enjoy its 180+ channels for $79.99/mo.
Who is it best for?
FuboTV started as a sports-centric service, and it’s still ideal for sports fans. Although the platform is missing ESPN, more than 30,000 games and events are broadcast annually across its other channels. (Almost 30 of them are dedicated solely to sports.) It’s particularly great for fans of international sports and the soccer-obsessed, as it offers ample soccer league coverage from across the globe. But the average family still has plenty to watch, whether it’s kids’ cartoons or series from the likes of AMC.
Pros and cons
- You can try a wide range of packages, rather than just the standard plan.
- FuboTV’s full service, including DVR storage, is part of the free trial.
- You’ll receive a reminder email before your trial ends, so you don’t forget to cancel.
- There’s no free trial for fuboTV’s most expensive package, the Ultra.
- Payment information is required to start the trial.
- Canceling will lock you out of the service immediately.
FuboTV deals and discounts
FuboTV rarely offers deals, but there are a couple of discounts available for certain subscribers:
Refer a friend
You can get money off your next month’s subscription if you refer a friend. The referral credit will be added to your account once your friend becomes a paying subscriber and will be automatically deducted from your monthly payment. There’s no limit to how many credits you can receive, so you can benefit from referring multiple friends.
Both active and retired members of the armed forces and related government agencies get $10/mo. off their first two months. Just sign up via GovX.
How much is fuboTV?
FuboTV isn’t the cheapest live TV service. Its prices start from $29.99/mo. for the Español package, ranging up to $54.99/mo. for the Standard plan and $79.99/mo. for the Ultra option. Channel and feature add-ons will increase these monthly prices.
What are the top fuboTV channels?
FuboTV has plenty of major networks, such as CBS, FOX and NBC. Sports channels include FS1, NBA TV and NFL Network, while entertainment names range from AMC and Bravo to Lifetime and TLC. Kids will love Nickelodeon, while newshounds can enjoy the likes of CNN.
Is there a fuboTV free trial?
Yes, fuboTV offers a seven-day free trial to all new customers. You can try any of the packages, save for the priciest Ultra plan.
What are fuboTV reviews like?
Reviewers say fuboTV is a solid way to cut the cable TV cord. It has a great selection of channels and numerous add-ons to customize your plan (although the absence of ABC and ESPN may be a deal-breaker for some). Those who love international sports will love the platform. However, the service is lacking in regional sports networks. It also doesn’t have the biggest DVR storage or simultaneous streaming limit. Only 30 hours of storage and two streams are included as standard, but you can upgrade these for an extra monthly fee.
How do I get a fuboTV free trial?
Signing up for a free trial couldn’t be easier. Head to fuboTV’s site, pick your plan and add your email address and payment details. You can also sign up via a Roku device by downloading the fuboTV app and selecting Start Free Trial. You’ll also need to enter an email address, but payment will be managed through your Roku account. Once your details are in, enter your Roku pin and press Subscribe.
