CenturyLink DSL price is the same, speeds vary

Looking at the CenturyLink pricing table above, you may have noticed that some speed tiers are the same price. That’s because for one monthly cost, CenturyLink lets you choose their fastest speeds available at your address.

Though this can take some of the choice out of shopping for internet service, it ensures you get the best value by delivering the fastest speed for the price.

Choosing the right CenturyLink plan

Though they all come at the same starting price, CenturyLink does give customers the option to choose between speeds where more than one speed is available.

The only reason we see as to why you may want to choose a lower speed for the same price is to save on installation costs. CenturyLink plans below 80 Mbps feature free self-installation, whereas plans of 80 Mbps and above require professional installation, which comes with a one-time fee of $99.

Seeing as all things are equal between CenturyLink DSL plans other than the installation costs, we recommend choosing the fastest available speeds. Even with the potential added initial cost, the fastest available plan will provide more value in the long run.

If CenturyLink Fiber is available at your address, your only option will be the gigabit plan, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Starting at $65/mo.,* CenturyLink Gigabit service is cheaper than gig service from many other providers, and the speed boost is well worth the cost of upgrading from their $49/mo.* tiers.

Benefits of CenturyLink internet

Along with high speeds and a Price for Life guarantee on select plans, CenturyLink comes with a few added benefits to further entice customers.
