What is the Verizon Forward program?

Verizon Forward is Verizon’s low-cost internet service that provides high-speed internet for an affordable price to eligible customers. If you qualify, you can receive discounts on Verizon’s fiber, 5G Home Internet or LTE internet services. Your Verizon internet service can start as low as $20.00/mo. with the Verizon Forward discount, depending on which internet service you choose. 

Verizon’s fiber plans range from 300 to 2,000 Mbps, while its 5G home internet plan offers speeds up to 300 or 1,000 Mbps. Verizon LTE has speeds up to 50 Mbps. 

Who can qualify for the Verizon Forward program?

According to Verizon, Fios, 5G Home Internet and LTE internet customers are eligible for Verizon Forward if they meet at least one of the criteria below: 

• Have qualified for at least one of the following assistance programs within 180 days prior to application: Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), Lifeline or Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
• Received a Federal Pell Grant within a year prior to application

How to apply for Verizon Forward

1. Visit the Verizon Forward webpage
2. Click “Get Started”
3. Follow the prompts to verify your eligibility
4. Upload any requested documentation
5. Once approved, purchase your internet with the discount or add the discount to your existing services

Verizon notes that if you are prompted to upload documentation to verify your eligibility, you will receive a confirmation email with your eligibility status. Once you receive your qualification email, follow the instructions to apply the discount to new or existing Verizon services.
