At the International Consumer Electronics Show in early January, three awards, including “Best In Show,” were given to Dish’s Sling TV Internet television service. This over-the-top streaming service will deliver twelve popular cable channels to multiple devices for just twenty dollars a month.
Industry experts at CES hailed Sling TV as the first example of a true competitor for the traditional cable TV. The ability to stream cable television to multiple devices is a feature that consumers have never had access to before without a cable subscription, and the ability to watch CNN or ESPN on the go makes Sling TV even more enticing.
