The holiday season means spending time with the ones you love, and for us TV and movie buffs, we know there’s no better way to spend time with family than on the couch, binge-watching our favorite holiday and Christmas movies or TV specials. 

Luckily, Netflix has some old classics like How The Grinch Stole Christmas and White Christmas. But they really deliver when it comes to the plethora of holiday originals exclusively on the service. Check out some seasonal movies you’ll want to add to your Netflix queue.

A Family Reunion Christmas

You’ve seen the McKellan family transition from the big city to the small-town South. Now, watch them reunite for a church Christmas pageant and to celebrate the true meaning of the holiday season. Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Loretta Devine star in this TV comedy. 

Klaus

From a co-creator of Despicable Me, Klaus follows a postal academy student banished to an island without Christmas cheer. When the student makes some unexpected friends in a teacher and local carpenter, he’s able to bring joy back to the island. Prepare to add a new Christmas classic to your list starring the voices of J.K. Simmons, Jason Schwartzman and Rashida Jones. 

Let it Snow

Based on the best-selling novel, Kiernan Shipka and Joan Cusack star in this feel-good holiday comedy about a group of high schoolers whose lives cross paths when a blizzard hits a small town on Christmas eve. 

Merry Happy Whatever

When you’re done binge-watching holiday movies, try out a sitcom with the same theme. Dennis Quaid, Ashley Tisdale and Bridgit Mendler star in this TV comedy about a down-and-out musician trying to win over his girlfriend’s family on a 10-day Christmas vacation.

Sugar Rush Christmas

You’ve never seen Christmas cookies quite like this. Watch bakers vie for the title of Sugar Rush Christmas champion and $10,000 in this holiday TV special.

Nothing says Christmas like a Hallmark movie. And when you’ve finally finished them all, Netflix has even more heartwarming, family entertainment that the whole family will love. Check out some Hallmark-style Christmas movies to add to your queue.

You may be wondering, “Does Netflix have A Christmas Story or A Christmas Vacation available for streaming?” Netflix has a limited selection of Christmas classics from year to year, but luckily, you won’t have to search far to find them elsewhere.
