CenturyLink brings fiber to more areas

Now available in 10+ states, CenturyLink’s fiber-optic internet network continues to grow, offering download speeds up to 1,000 Mbps in select areas.

Cities currently or soon-to-be eligible for CenturyLink fiber include:

  • Denver, CO
  • Orlando, FL
  • Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN
  • Columbia, MO
  • Omaha, NE

If CenturyLink fiber hasn’t yet reached your area, CenturyLink also offers DSL service in 36 states. CenturyLink High-Speed Internet can reach speeds up to 80 Mbps in select areas.

Lock in your internet price for life (without signing your life away)

For those concerned about rate hike surprises on their monthly internet bill, CenturyLink’s “Price for Life” offer is the perfect solution. Available with fiber and DSL internet plans, CenturyLink’s “Price for Life” guarantee lets you keep the same monthly rate for as long as you have the plan.

What makes this offer even more special is that the “life” of the plan is entirely up to you. There are no contracts required, so you can keep your internet plan and price for as long as you want with no obligation.

Featured CenturyLink deals for August 2018

CenturyLink has a few standalone internet and bundle offers this August. Here’s a look at CenturyLink’s cheapest and fastest internet plans, plus ways to bundle TV and home phone with CenturyLink internet.

Cheapest CenturyLink internet plan—starting at $45/mo.*

CenturyLink’s lowest-priced internet plan for the month of August is their basic High-Speed Internet plan. Delivered over a reliable DSL network, this plan offers download speeds up to 40 Mbps starting at $45 per month.* Again, with CenturyLink’s “Price for Life” offer, you get to keep this monthly rate for as long as you keep the plan.

Fastest CenturyLink internet plan—up to 1,000 Mbps

CenturyLink fiber plans offer speeds up to 1,000 Mbps, or 1 Gbps, where available. The “1 Gig” plan gives users high enough speeds for streaming TV, downloading movies and music, gaming online and much more on multiple devices.

What can you do with speeds up to 1,000 Mbps?

  • Stream TV shows on multiple devices with little-to-no buffering
  • Game online lag-free
  • Download 25 songs in less than a second
  • Download a 90-minute HD movie in under 34 seconds

CenturyLink’s 1,000 Mbps plan is available in select areas with access to the CenturyLink fiber network. If CenturyLink fiber isn’t yet available in your area, CenturyLink’s DSL service offers speeds up to 80 Mbps. These speeds are still fast enough to stream TV, game online and use multiple connected devices at the same time.

CenturyLink bundle offers for August 2018

CenturyLink partners with DIRECTV to offer internet and TV bundles wherever CenturyLink internet is available. Keep in mind that while CenturyLink offers “price for life,” DIRECTV does not. When bundling CenturyLink and DIRECTV, your internet price will remain the same over time, but DIRECTV pricing may increase over time and a contract may be required.

What about CenturyLink Prism TV?

CenturyLink Prism TV uses the internet to deliver TV service, much like AT&T U-verse. Similar to other TV subscription services, Prism TV offers live TV, premium channels and On Demand programming.

Availability is limited to select areas, and it seems CenturyLink will not expand Prism TV service to new areas any time soon. Existing Prism TV customers can keep their TV service, but new customers or existing internet customers wanting to add TV service can bundle with DIRECTV.

What the latest CenturyLink deals and news means for customers and shoppers

CenturyLink has a lot going on for the month of August 2018. Here’s a breakdown of what it all means to you.

Fiber internet is expanding, Prism TV is not

CenturyLink aims to bring fiber internet, with speeds up to 1 Gbps, to more areas. Their Prism TV service, however, will not expand further as CenturyLink has partnered with DIRECTV to offer internet and TV bundles. Stay tuned to see if CenturyLink fiber is coming to your area, and consider DIRECTV packages if you want a CenturyLink internet and TV bundle.

Internet plans start as low as $45/mo.*

CenturyLink High-Speed Internet plans start at $45/mo. for up to 40 Mbps. Higher priced plans range from $55/mo. for speeds up to 80 Mbps to $85/mo. for fiber internet speeds up to 1,000 Mbps where available.* Shoppers can search CenturyLink internet plan pricing and availability with Allconnect to enjoy low prices now.

New internet customers can lock in their “price for life”

Available with any internet plan, CenturyLink’s “price for life” promotion allows new customers to get internet without the worry of price hikes or contract obligations. But keep in mind, the promotion applies to internet only, and price increases and contract obligations may come with TV service when bundling. Order CenturyLink internet today to lock in your price for as long as you want the plan.
