From Amazon

Amazon announced a slew of new products at September’s hardware event and most will be available for purchase just in time for all the big holiday sales. Big-ticket items include the Echo Bud wireless headphones (Amazon’s answer to Apple Airpods), the Echo Studio smart speaker and Echo Frames smart eyeglasses, available now by invitation only.

For the smart home tech fans on your shopping list, consider the Echo Flex smart plug, Echo Show 8 and the all-new Echo Dot with Clock to give them Wi-Fi connected control of all aspects of the home. Amazon’s first Eero mesh router is also available now with built-in Alexa voice controls.

From Microsoft

Amazon isn’t the only major company set to release some great new additions to the tech industry. Earlier this month, Microsoft debuted four new devices to the Surface collection including the third generation Surface Laptop, said to be two times faster than the Surface 2.

For sale later this year, Microsoft will release its own answer to Apple’s Airpods in the form of a new model of Surface headphones. The Bluetooth-enabled wireless headphones will integrate with Microsoft Office and will support real-time captioning for Powerpoint.

The Surface Pro 7 is already available for preorder and will feature better coordination between pen, keyboard and voice capabilities. The Surface Pro X is also available for preorder and includes better battery life, a charging dock for a Surface One pen embedded in the keyboard and Adobe Creative Cloud apps optimized for the device.
