Are you ready for Digital TV (DTV)? You'll need to take action if you want to continue watching most TV programming after June 12, 2009. Read more about switching to DTV or find a Cable or Satellite provider in your area.
I subscribe to a Cable TV or Satellite TV service provider with an analog or digital TV and I do not have a "set-top" box.
As long as your TV subscription includes local channels AND all of your TVs are connected to that service, you don't need to do anything. If you don't have one or both of the above, choose one of these options.
I don't subscribe to locals through my TV provider
- Subscribe to local channels through your TV provider. This is the easiest way to continue receiving your local channels, where available. Click here to find a digital TV plans in your area.
- Upgrade to a digital receiver that has a digital over-the-air tuner. Receivers with built-in digital over-the-air tuners allow you to receive your local channels over-the-air. Click here to find a digital TV plans in your area.
I have an analog TV that is not connected to my TV provider
- Connect it to your existing TV provider. Contact your provider to find out how you can connect that stranded TV to your existing TV subscription.
- Purchase a digital-to-analog converter box. A converter box plugs into your TV and will keep it working after June 12, 2009. You may be eligible for up to two $40 coupons, provided by the government, to help pay for the digital-to-analog converter boxes. Click here for more information.
