Get to Know Sheryl Pieroni, Author of SavingU and My Atlanta Mommy

Last week we met members of the Allconnect Mom Advisory Group. We chatted with each of them via Twitter and posted a bit about them via this blog. This week we’re introducing you to several other members of our Mom Advisory Panel and hope you will read a bit about them here, then join us in conversing with them via Twitter.  Today we’re featuring Sheryl Pieroni of My Atlanta Mommy, My NCTriangle Mommy and SavingU. We’ll be talking with Sheryl on Tues., Aug. 3 at 11:30 am EST. Join us for the conversation, but in the meantime, get to know a bit more about Sheryl.

Sheryl is the mother of four boys who span every stage of development. Her oldest goes off to college this fall and she has one in high school, one in middle school and one in elementary. If that’s not enough, Sheryl also authors several blogs and works as a personal assistant. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, train in krav maga, and hang with family and friends. Sheryl also loves to learn and speak languages, but says she doesn’t do it enough.

My Atlanta Mommy is a savings blog within the My City Mommy network. It features daily deals, store ads, coupon match-ups, freebies, discounts and events around town. It also showcases how to go green and ways to do so inexpensively. Sheryl’s favorite posts include pay it forwards and eco-friendly deals, contests and important information. In addition to My Atlanta Mommy, Sheryl launched a new blog called SavingU on Aug. 1. SavingU features ways college students and their parents can save on everything from books and tuition, to eating out and cooking in college-friendly style!

Like lots of moms, Sheryl was looking for a way to stay at home with her children when her sister-in-law Kristen McKee, co-founder of Becentsable and co-author of the new Becentsable book, introduced her to blogging.

If Sheryl could have “one less thing to worry about” it would be never having to deal with another customer service person, EVER!
